Requirements

  • Degree in Finance/Business/Accounting
  • 5+ years of related experience in a corporate environment; industrial manufacturing, preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), preferred
  • Minimum 5 years prior management experience with a proven ability to lead teams and effectively work through others, required
  • Experience with Oracle or Hyperion considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, financial and systems skills required
  • Experience working in a global business environment, preferred
  • Experience supporting acquisitions and joint ventures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory
  • Passion for getting things done and an appreciation for details
  • Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Design strategies to enhance Interpro Pipe and Steel’s overall financial health by formulating a finance strategy for profitable long-term growth through maximization of returns on financial assets, reducing costs, and increasing capital
  • Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure for the Saskatchewan Operations
  • Coordinate, analyze and report on the financial performance to Management (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required)
  • Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties
  • Oversee external and internal auditors in the performance of year-end and interim financial audits/reviews
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting
  • Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent IFRS, GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Selects, coaches, and develops high performing teams. Establishes measurable goals and performs continual measurement, coaching and counseling to team members
  • Remain current on operational trends, technological developments, and regulatory changes
  • Hires, trains, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff. Reviews and recommendation of personnel actions for approval
