Requirements

Relevant qualification such as a NEBOSH Certificate or EHS accreditation
Strong working knowledge of EHS and risk management legislation and principles
Experience in local and/or regional EHS regulatory compliance
Experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs
Previous EHS experience
Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Highly organised, self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive, able to prioritise workload in a constantly changing environment
Outgoing, approachable, and demonstrating a strong “can-do” attitude

Responsibilities

Deploy and establish EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and Medtronic’s standards
Conduct workplace and task-specific risk assessments
Provide leadership and direction for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of key EHS risk programs
Implement a targeted health, safety, and environmental risk management program
Partner with Medtronic sub-regions, business units, and functions to provide EHS technical expertise
Liaise with external agencies and internal stakeholders to integrate EHS into core processes and business decisions
Facilitate EHS engagement and communication through regular EHS meetings and other communication channels
Perform compliance-based tasks such as conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses
Carry out any additional duties as required by the business
