Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years managing teams of 5+ engineers
  • Proven track record building data or ML infrastructure at scale
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Python or Golang, Kafka, Airflow, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems and streaming data pipelines
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow) and MLOps principles
  • Hands-on experience with model deployment, feature stores, and model monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Scale the ML Platform Engineering Team: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on building the services, tooling, and infrastructure that enable ML lifecycle management
  • Own the ML Platform Strategy: Define and execute the vision for scalable ML infrastructure that empowers data scientists and engineers to rapidly prototype, train, and deploy models in production
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Data Science, Product, and Cloud Engineering to ensure seamless integration between data pipelines, ML models, and production systems
  • Drive Platform Innovation: Design and implement core components of the Falcon AI and ML ecosystems, ensuring the platforms are secure, performant, and extensible for evolving AI workloads
  • Champion Best Practices: Establish engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and continuous improvement of deployment and observability practices
  • Ensure Reliability and Scale: Build systems that ingest, process, and analyze billions of events daily with high reliability, leveraging distributed computing, container orchestration, and modern cloud technologies
  • Foster a Culture of Growth and Collaboration: Conduct regular 1:1s, provide coaching and feedback, and serve as the primary advocate for your team within the broader Data Science organization
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor industry trends in ML infrastructure, MLOps, and AI platform engineering to ensure CrowdStrike remains at the forefront of data-driven security
