Requirements

  • Extensive experience building and operating web-based software applications, with a deep understanding of scalability, security, and maintenance
  • Solid experience in one or more of TypeScript, Go, Kotlin or Ruby, and a strong willingness to learn new languages and technologies
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining both backend and frontend services, including robust APIs and responsive, visually appealing user interfaces
  • A commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with advocacy for test-driven development
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly, listen empathetically, and contribute to a kind and collaborative team environment
  • Proactive and clear communicator who values empathy, kindness, and openness to others' perspectives
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking initiative and seeking support when needed
  • Interested in understanding and solving customer problems, considering impact on customers at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Tackle a wide variety of technical challenges while evolving architecture from a monolith to a distributed, event-driven microservices platform
  • Contribute to a pivotal team supporting all product teams' growth, with diverse projects including enhancing Golang services, moving functionality from Ruby on Rails monolith, or building new services in Kotlin or Next.js
  • Own the entire feature lifecycle, from conception through to deployment and production, within autonomous cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate and lead by example through pair/team programming, writing solution designs, or providing thoughtful feedback on pull requests
  • Collaborate across teams to empower them with shared services for authentication, authorization, and feature management
