Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in an enterprise environment
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, security, and high-availability strategies
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with strong expertise in Oracle databases, multitenant architecture, and data guard configurations (preferred)
- Experience managing Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) (preferred)
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux scripting and automation (preferred)
- Solid understanding of backup and recovery techniques, including RMAN (preferred)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and version control systems (e.g., Git) (preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills (preferred)
- Leadership experience or prior involvement in mentoring/junior DBA support is a plus (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases with a focus on performance, security, and availability
- Automate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle software and related infrastructure
- Manage Oracle Multitenant architecture and support multiple pluggable databases (PDBs)
- Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor and manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) infrastructure for production environments
- Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for database operations and system automation
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure seamless integrations and compliance with organizational standards
- Enforce and routinely update database security standards and protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, database errors, and service disruptions
- Participate in source code management and release processes related to database scripts and configurations
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior DBAs; lead project-based database initiatives
