Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert, setting the strategic vision for the in vitro pharmacology team and ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and approaches, including staying current on the latest advancements in screening methodologies
  • Oversee and guide the design, optimization, and validation of cellular, biochemical, and biophysical assays to support target identification, high-throughput screening (HTS), and lead optimization
  • Lead and manage hit generation, screening, and molecular profiling activities for multiple drug discovery programs across different therapeutic areas
  • Work extensively in a matrix environment, collaborating with various departments such as medicinal chemistry, biology, computational sciences, and toxicology to advance drug discovery pipelines
  • Ensure the generation of high-quality data and use advanced software for data analysis, archiving, and interpretation to guide program decisions
  • Manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team of scientists across biochemistry and cellular pharmacology groups to impact and progress an exciting and innovative portfolio of novel therapeutics
  • Supervise multiple PhD and advanced leaders and scientists within their teams
  • Manage technology infrastructure, future innovation, and strategy
  • Foster a culture of transparency, innovation, career development, and collaboration
  • Accountable for oncology small molecule portfolio oversight, strategic vision setting, and cross-geography (Cambridge, MA and Lawrenceville, NJ) collaborations
