Requirements

Relevant industry experience, ideally 5+ years
Proficiency in using AutoCAD, 12D software, and/or Civil 3D
Sound knowledge of construction methods and health and safety regulations
Preferred previous experience working with local councils and authorities to deliver projects
Strong design capabilities and knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes and local government authorities
Autonomous design skills and decision-making processes to move projects forward
Experience within a consultancy environment (highly regarded)
Ability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
TAFE qualification - Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree or similar equivalent industry experience
Self-motivated, team-oriented individual capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD and either 12D or Civil 3D software, designing and documenting own projects in a project team
Coordinate with clients, external consultants, internal engineers, civil designers, and draftspersons for the documentation and delivery of projects
Plan and complete design projects within agreed budgets and deadlines
Provide leadership and mentoring of younger staff to help develop, grow, and lead the team
Work on Land Development projects and associated infrastructure, including feasibility and studies or optioneering, planning, detailed design, delivery, and construction of 1000+ lot greenfield sites, heavily constrained urban infill and brownfield sites, and strata subdivision developments
Focus on design elements including earthworks and retaining wall design, sewer & water reticulation, stormwater drainage, and road design
