Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline, and have at least five years of experience in a data science role, with a strong focus on decision modeling and machine learning. Experience with credit risk modeling is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Decision Scientist at Monzo, you will be responsible for improving customer and business outcomes through the development and implementation of automated decisioning models using Machine Learning and Statistical modeling, primarily focusing on credit risk. You will contribute to the entire lifecycle of ML models, including experiment design, data curation, deployment, and monitoring, while working closely with Credit Strategy Analysts, Model Validation Analysts, Backend Engineers, and Product Managers to align model development with the product roadmap. You will also have the autonomy to identify impactful topics and deliver them effectively, expanding your expertise across various Borrowing products and applications.
