Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and administering databases across multiple platforms
- Deep expertise in Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Industry-recognized certifications in one or more database technologies
- Strong command of performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and database security best practices
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing the full lifecycle of enterprise database systems

- Solid academic foundation with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance across Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL environments (Database Reliability Engineering)
- Lead rapid response efforts for major database incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution to minimize business impact (Incident Response & Troubleshooting)
- Analyze system metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to ensure fast, efficient data access and query performance (Performance Tuning & Optimization)
- Design and evolve database schemas, storage strategies, and deployment models to support new applications and business growth (Database Architecture & Engineering)
- Enforce robust security controls, manage access, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (Security & Compliance)
- Promote best practices and foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning (Technical Leadership)
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver integrated, scalable, and secure database solutions (Cross-Functional Collaboration)
- Maintain detailed documentation, run-books, and post-incident reviews to promote transparency, learning, and operational maturity (Documentation & Knowledge Sharing)
