Experience implementing highly available and scalable big data solutions
In depth knowledge of at least one cloud provider, preferably AWS
Proficiency in languages such as Scala, Python, or shell scripting, specifically in the context of streaming data workflows
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
Full understanding of modern software engineering best practices
Experience with Domain-driven design
DevOps mindset

Either have an AWS certification or are willing to achieve AWS certification within 6 months (minimum: AWS Certified Associate)
Present onsite at the Antwerp office one day per week

Responsibilities

Building a robust real-time customer profile by aggregating their online behaviour and allowing the usage of this profile to recommend other articles on our online platforms
Co-develop and cooperate on streaming architectures from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement to meet the needs of millions of real-time interactions
Closely collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists and analysts in our daily work, data engineering guild and communities of practice
Harmonising our data landscape across countries, over departments and through acquisitions
Design and build cloud-based data pipelines, both batch and streaming, and its underlying infrastructure
