Requirements

Academic background in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or Physics (advanced degree preferred)
8+ years of experience working in an analytical role
Customer-facing experience and enjoyment of sitting with customers to understand their challenges
Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL)
Proven experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred) and comfort developing code in a team environment (e.g., git, notebooks, testing)
Strong experience building scalable data and analytics products from design to deployment phases
Ability to think about data in terms of statistical distributions with a robust analytics toolbox to find patterns and identify performance targets
Delivery-oriented with experience in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience influencing decisions with information
High tolerance for ambiguity, ability to find ways through challenges, anticipate, connect, and synthesize

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of new advanced analytics products to uncover hidden insights in complex blockchain data (e.g., assessing risks of DeFi services, stablecoins, global regulations, and crypto-trends)
Lead the roadmap and prioritization of the analytics customer products suite based on market demands
Use business acumen to collaborate with go-to-market teams and work directly with customers to understand challenges and translate them into impactful models and products
Develop complex statistical analysis, algorithms, and interactive visualizations for consumption by law enforcement agents and analysts to detect cryptocurrency and blockchain threat vectors
Collaborate with engineers and research scientists to design algorithms analyzing complex cryptocurrency and blockchain data structures (e.g., distributed ledger technologies, cryptographic protocols, transactional data)
Lead the team by collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, and research scientists to align on project goals, methodologies, and deliverables
Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Develop skills through training, coaching, and mentoring from colleagues
Establish best practices and statistical rigor around data-driven decision-making
