Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience (ecommerce, retail, marketplace…)
  • Good balance of statistical/technical skills, business acumen, and communication skills
  • Experience partnering with internal teams and senior decision makers to drive decision and action, leveraging data insights; act as an expert and provide direction on analytics
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL (Python or another coding language is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis within our circularity services (Trade-In, Recycling), to tackle operations challenges and identify opportunity areas where Back Market can provide incremental value to sellers and customers
  • Model and forecast seller and customer behavior to optimize Long Term Value for the company
  • Analyze and model the optimal pricing strategies which sellers and Back Market can participate in to deliver growth in trade-in device volumes, profitability (for both sellers and Back Market) and customer satisfaction
  • Explore and recommend new approaches for understanding used device flows, opportunities to continue to grow the circular market and win over new customers and sellers
  • Be an active contributor to circularity strategy, by thinking beyond immediate analysis to understand the long-term implications of actions and leverage opportunities beyond Circularity scope (supply creation, customer acquisition, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with business & top management: supporting their needs, providing tools to ease access to insights, easing performance monitoring, sharing your analysis & recommendations in an impactful way to get their buy-in
