Requirements

Post-secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions
Strong project management skills to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through to completion
Strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
Experience with machine learning packages (e.g., Scikit-learn and Tensorflow) to develop ML models and features
Proficiency in querying Big Data infrastructure from data warehousing databases (e.g., Google BigQuery)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions
Provide expert project leadership as a subject matter expert (SME) and participate in cross-departmental projects
Work closely with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements
Implement new statistical or mathematical methodologies for specific models of data analysis
Create algorithms and predictive models to extract information required to solve complex business problems
Conduct causality experiments by applying A/B experiments or epidemiological approaches to identify root issues
Identify new, complex queries from Big Data infrastructure to add value to the organization
Test the performance of data-driven products and make recommendations for improving Geotab’s product suite
Build production datasets and help customers solve business problems
