A minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security, data protection, or related enterprise roles is required. The role demands in-depth knowledge of data security frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001, DLP solutions, and cloud security principles, along with experience in AI security practices, risk assessment methodologies, data classification, tagging, and access management. Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise policy development and compliance initiatives, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, are essential. Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, or related professional security certifications. A high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office is mandatory, with a minimum speed of 25mbps download and 10mbps upload, and satellite or wireless internet is not permitted. Occasional travel to company offices may be required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Cyber Data Protection Engineer develops and executes security controls to prevent cyber attacks and system infiltration. Key responsibilities include conducting data risk assessments, developing and enforcing enterprise-wide data security policies and standards aligned with NIST frameworks, and leading AI readiness initiatives including AI Data Security Posture Management. The role involves driving the modernization of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, overseeing secure data sharing practices, and implementing data classification, labeling, scanning, and tagging solutions. Additionally, the engineer will manage and monitor data access controls, identify and mitigate insider risks through detection and response processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on secure application and infrastructure design, cloud security, and compliance reviews.
