Requirements

  • Strong experience solving analytical and numerical problems, preferably in credit strategy or risk in a consumer lending environment
  • Familiar with key IFRS9 modelling components (PD, LGD, EAD, Staging) (preferred)
  • Strong ability in manipulating and analyzing large datasets using SQL and/or Python
  • Experienced in visualization and storytelling through data
  • Passion for translating numbers into business opportunities and delivering insights to drive decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Assess credit risk of assets across all lending products using the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) framework
  • Understand and monitor portfolio trends, market dynamics, and macro-economic environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, product, collections, finance) to develop innovative approaches to calculating impairment provisions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Lead complex and high-impact projects
  • Devise creative, innovative solutions to analytical challenges across lending products (unsecured personal loans, credit cards, secured loans, point-of-sale finance)
  • Analyse portfolio performance, identify areas of improvement, and recommend ECL framework enhancements
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end solutions and improvements
  • Use advanced statistical techniques to predict customer behavior or forecast future losses
  • Continuously innovate on ways of working, optimization, and efficiencies across the team
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their growth and development
