Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management
  • Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience (SAP or Oracle preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cost accounting processes, including standard cost development, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory valuation
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes for all manufacturing cost-related activities
  • Analyze manufacturing variances, labor efficiency, and material usage to identify cost improvement opportunities
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to enhance cost control and profitability
  • Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts across multiple production sites
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies while driving process improvements
  • Support audits and assist in developing robust internal controls over inventory and costing
  • Manage and mentor cost accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
