Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience shipping backend code in a high-quality production environment, with exposure to data-centric systems. They should have experience building, deploying, and maintaining microservices in production, along with experience with data and event-based architectures including API development, SQL/NoSQL datastores, and messaging queues. Proficiency in Golang and experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure are required, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to interface with business-level stakeholders. A champion of long-term thinking and a commitment to making business impact without sacrificing engineering quality is also necessary.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, the individual will build and enhance scalable Golang microservices to power eligibility, coverage, billing, and client-facing systems. They will automate and streamline operational workflows to reduce manual data handling and improve data accuracy. The role involves designing and delivering self-service tools for finance, operations, and client teams, ensuring member, client, and operational data is accurate and traceable. They will also work with data and AI teams to explore opportunities for applying AI to data validation, process automation, and anomaly detection, and contribute to client-facing APIs for seamless data exchange. Finally, they will ensure the reliability and maintainability of these systems.
