Requirements

8+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong foundation in Node.js and/or Golang
Deep expertise and experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Grafana, and modern CI/CD infrastructure
Have built, maintained, and scaled distributed systems in production environments
Passionate about observability, reliability, performance, and ensuring these are understood by the team as they relate to backend systems
Ability to navigate legacy codebases and leave them better than found
Communicate clearly and effectively, especially in async and distributed team settings

Responsibilities

Bring depth, craft, and resilience to the infrastructure underpinning the API client
Contribute to three major thematic goals: Delight the Developer (faster feedback cycles, GitHub-first thinking, intuitive features), Simplify request sending and debugging (smooth, low-friction experience for common tasks and advanced workflows), Build the multi-protocol future (GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets in a seamless experience)
Execute backend systems for fast, reliable API calls: executing code, orchestrating local runtimes, syncing data, collecting telemetry, providing observability
