We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join our growing platform engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your deep programming expertise to design and build scalable, reliable backend systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in application system architecture and design.

They are responsible for writing code that has a significant impact on our customers and future product lines, driving the success of our high-performance ML and AI products that are transforming the healthcare landscape.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend server development to ensure our system is extensible, scalable, and secure.
• Collaborate with other teams to understand and implement necessary system changes for future customer-focused deliverables.
• Design and implement complex frameworks for applying machine learning techniques to large data volumes.
• Deliver reliable and high-performing software.

Requirements

• 8+ years of strong experience in backend-focused software development.
• Skill in reading, understanding, and improving the source code of complex software systems.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity.
• A passion for learning new things.
• A drive to write high-quality software.
• A strong Computer Science foundation in data structures and asynchronous programming.
• BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Working experience with Java, Scala, and the JVM.
• Working experience with SQL.
• Experience in Rust and Python is a bonus.
