Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, and a Master’s degree in computer science is preferred. They must have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of full-time SaaS application development utilizing AWS and Python, and 5 years of hands-on experience developing, deploying, and operating applications within AWS. Furthermore, candidates should have 5+ years of experience developing APIs, utilizing microservices, integrating with third-party platforms, and employing open standard authorization protocols, along with 2+ years of experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, and serverless architecture.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for keeping up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and strategies, introducing new ideas to the team, designing and implementing new AWS serverless cloud applications, mentoring software engineers, collaborating with product management, demonstrating expertise in architectural strategies, maintaining a frictionless agile environment, designing and developing software using TDD/BDD techniques, creating monitoring and alerting infrastructure, maintaining secure architecture and coding practices, conducting code reviews and pair programming, integrating with third-party platforms, and undertaking special projects and additional duties as assigned.
