Senior Python Developer - Automation

Position Overview

NVIDIA's Silicon Solutions Group is seeking a senior Python developer to lead automation initiatives for datacenter products. This role focuses on delivering innovative solutions to significantly improve operational efficiency by evaluating automation needs, coordinating with internal engineers and developers, and implementing scalable designs to optimize workflows, minimize manual processes, and accelerate testing cycles. You will own the entire development lifecycle for most projects, from architecture through deployment and maintenance.

The base salary range is $184,000 - $356,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate with engineering partners to assess needs, capture requirements, and identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions tailored to team workflows.
• Coordinate projects by managing timelines, setting expectations, and presenting progress with technical and non-technical partners.
• Provide detailed documentation, training, and support to drive the successful adoption of our solutions.
• Continuously supervise and improve deployed solutions based on feedback and evolving requirements, while upholding software development standard methodologies.

What We Need to See

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years in software development.
• Expert-level Python proficiency, specializing in automation and testing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Excellent analytical and debug skills; effective both independently and in teams.
• Skilled at balancing multiple projects with strategic prioritization.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd

• Hands-on experience with system architecture and development.
• Deep knowledge of datacenter tray, rack, and cluster architectures.
• Proven understanding of full stack development principles and practices.
• Understanding of AI and large language model (LLM) development.
• Experience with AI software development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot).
