Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (equivalent work experience accepted)
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on remote access security
  • Proficient in remote access technologies (RDP, VNC, 3rd party solutions, VPNs, VDI, Cloud-based access, etc.) and standard methodologies for security
  • Proficiency in using security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM)
  • Proficient in evaluating sophisticated remote access designs and identifying risks using a deep understanding of common attack patterns, architectural weaknesses, and secure design principles
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to translate remote access security concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical partners
  • Proven track record of effectively partnering with diverse teams, encouraging positive relationships with engineering, IT, and leadership to achieve secure remote access outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience in applying security principles within remote access technologies
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure remote access solutions, including VPNs, VDI, and other remote access technologies
  • Develop and enforce remote access security policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security measures seamlessly into remote access systems
  • Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to security incidents
  • Investigate and mitigate security incidents related to remote access
  • Stay informed about the latest emerging security threats and technologies, and suggest improvements to improve security posture
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the security team
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the status of remote access security to senior management
