Requirements

Experience of AWS services and architecture, and experience managing applications on AWS, Kubernetes
Advanced skills in SQL databases (Postgres, SQLServer, Oracle), including complex queries and performance tuning
Proficient in using and configuring monitoring and log aggregation tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and Grafana
Experience with ticketing systems like Jira or ServiceNow
Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and service improvement
Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
4+ years of experience in the field of application support in a client-facing role
University Degree in Information Technologies or relevant experience
Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

Provide 2nd line support for SQL-driven AWS hosted applications and on-prem Windows solutions undergoing transformation to AWS
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
Work on incident and problem resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to services
Manage a ticket queue ensuring high quality and process adherence, assign tasks, and ensure coordinated efforts towards project goals
Keep up to date with technology, tooling, and required technical skills
Facilitate knowledge sharing among team members, organizing reviews, technical discussions, and lessons-learned sessions
Document troubleshooting steps, best practices, and known issues in a knowledge base; participate in and lead knowledge-sharing sessions
Demonstrate knowledge and practical experience with Cloud, AWS, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code; explain cloud technologies to others
Provide technical expertise and guidance to teams
Find and address technical risk; participate in security audits, compliance assessments, risk and control testing; follow standards, testing procedures, and quality assurance practices
Work with SQL databases and construct complex queries for troubleshooting
Participate in problem identification and documentation, conduct problem analysis, and implement long-term solutions
