Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant work experience, including experience with agile development processes and integrating secure development practices. Experience writing and testing web applications, mobile applications, and microservices is required, along with familiarity with GraphQL architecture, security best practices, and basic understanding of authentication and authorization schemes like OAuth. Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and IAST tools, cyber security attacks and mitigation methods (red/blue team experience), web applications and browser security, identity and access control, applied cryptography and security protocols, and SIEM/intrusion detection is also necessary. The ability to explain vulnerabilities and discuss defensive techniques is essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Application Security Developer will scale static and dynamic code analysis, handle manual and automated pen-testing, and lead AppSec posture improvements. Responsibilities include evaluating security technology, methodology, and tools; training developers and QA personnel on software security; improving and supporting application security tool services; supporting incident response and architecture review processes; managing penetration testing services; providing manual penetration testing and standards gap analysis; supporting secure development standards and application security framework projects; supporting vendor management for third-party software security; integrating threat modeling into the product development life cycle; providing security requirements for test-driven design; and producing metrics reporting on application security programs and team performance.
