Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
5–8 years of experience in API and Webhook development, integration, or related engineering roles
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with global customers and partners
Demonstrated experience using API and Webhook testing tools such as Postman and test automation frameworks
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Webhook architectures, authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys), and error handling best practices
Familiarity with modern integration and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, and API management tools (Gravitee, Kong, Apigee, or AWS API Gateway) preferred
Experience with integration billing systems such as Chargebee is a plus
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving
Collaborates effectively with colleagues across regions and functions to deliver best-in-class solutions
Demonstrates empathy and respect in all interactions

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for ABC’s API and Webhook products, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient integrations with external systems
Collaborate directly with customers and integration partners to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance API- and Webhook-based integrations
Design, test, and document new API and Webhook workflows using tools such as Postman and API automation frameworks
Support authentication schemes and ensure secure data transmission between systems (e.g., OAuth 2.0, API keys, JWT)
Partner with internal product and engineering teams to identify and resolve API or Webhook issues, escalate complex problems, and contribute to product improvements
Monitor and maintain existing integrations to ensure system stability and performance
Provide technical feedback and recommendations to improve the developer experience and integration documentation
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to automate testing, deployment, and validation of APIs
Coach and mentor teams on RESTful API design principles and best practices, ensuring consistency in standards across both API and Webhook implementations
Maintain strong communication with global stakeholders and customers, providing timely updates and detailed technical insights
