Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in AI, data science, or machine learning, with at least 5+ years focused on generative AI
  • Strong expertise in open-source generative AI models, including but not limited to GPT, LLaMA, T5, BERT, and MedBERT, and experience fine-tuning these models for domain-specific applications
  • Proficiency in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and integrating generative AI with knowledge graphs, structured data, or enterprise databases and Microsoft Copilot Studio
  • Deep understanding of transformer-based architectures and their applications in text generation, summarization, and knowledge extraction
  • Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
  • Experience building pipelines for preprocessing and managing large-scale text datasets
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to deliver impactful AI solutions across interdisciplinary teams
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s of Engineering in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in data science or AI, with significant contributions to projects involving generative AI

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, engineers, and product managers, to identify opportunities for applying generative AI to solve complex problems in healthcare and medical device applications
  • Develop and fine-tune generative AI models, including LLMs (LLaMA, GPT, T5, BERT, MedBERT) and other transformer-based architectures, for applications such as summarization, entity extraction, or knowledge generation
  • Apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to combine generative AI with structured and unstructured knowledge bases for clinical decision support and operational insights
  • Design and implement pipelines for preprocessing diverse data sources (e.g., clinical notes, EHRs, sensor data) to prepare high-quality datasets for generative AI model training and evaluation
  • Research and apply domain-specific adaptations of generative AI models, ensuring solutions meet clinical, operational, and business needs
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in open-source generative AI models and frameworks, ensuring integration of cutting-edge techniques into healthcare-focused solutions
  • Develop scalable and secure deployment strategies for generative AI applications using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to validate data quality and assess suitability for generative model applications
  • Document methodologies, experimental results, and recommendations to align with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering expertise in generative AI techniques and healthcare applications
