Requirements

Experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant
Strong background in the manufacturing industry
Firm understanding of cost accounting, inventory controls, and financial reporting within a production environment

Responsibilities

Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements and manufacturing-related reports (WIP, COGS, labor/material variances, etc.)
Support cost accounting functions, including standard cost development, BOM analysis, and production variance reporting
Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts, including cycle counts and physical inventory activities
Analyze manufacturing costs, overhead allocations, and production efficiency metrics
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and financial insights
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls
Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure accurate cost data
Support external audits with schedules, documentation, and reporting
Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in system enhancements (ERP and accounting systems)
