Requirements

- Driven, reliable, and self-starting individual
- Works exceptionally well with others and collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders and external tax service providers
- Experience providing indirect tax guidance to support business growth
Responsibilities
- Be a solid partner to internal stakeholders (insurance partnerships teams, product teams, legal department), providing global indirect tax guidance (IPT, VAT, GST, Sales Tax, etc.)
- Play an integral role in the global tax function, including preparing indirect tax returns by partnering with local tax advisors
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all indirect tax related data and documentation to local third party service providers, ensuring efficient and accurate completion
- Perform month-end close activities such as tax entries and indirect tax position reviews
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and overall process improvement as the global team builds and scales
- Support the Global Financial Reporting team during financial statement audits, including preparation, maintenance, and oversight of audit-ready tax reconciliations and workpapers
- Support maintenance of the tax compliance calendars and work with the tax director and external tax advisors to maintain compliance
- Partake in ad hoc finance and tax projects and analyses
