Requirements

Dedication to working hybrid model with 3 days per week in Austin, Texas office
3+ years’ experience in Accounting (experience in public accounting or at a large growth company and CPA is a plus)
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Proven understanding of US GAAP, local accounting and regulatory requirements, SOX and standard financial procedures and safeguards
Effective communication skills, including listening to needs of others, articulating issues clearly and concisely, and presenting findings/recommendations orally and in writing
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience resolving operational accounting process and system issues
Customer focus and ability to collaborate and influence in cross-functional environments, including all levels and multiple locations
Confident in initiating and responding to change; demonstrated ability to leverage systems to improve accounting processes and controls
Ability to set priorities, balance multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to take ownership of tasks, ensuring accuracy and on-time execution
Proven experience with ERP systems

Responsibilities

Be a trusted Controlling partner across cross-functional groups (Finance, Accounting Policy, Tax, Legal, Shared Services, Systems, and teams across TCGplayer and Roca Robotics)
Support key business initiatives by identifying global/local accounting requirements and implementing financial controls, processes, and automated solutions (including concept development, requirements identification, user testing, and production implementation)
Assess SOX implications, modify/implement controls as appropriate, and conduct accounting process reviews
Conduct ongoing reviews of accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiency to drive improvements through automation, streamlining, and best practices
Prepare and post accurate journal entries, ensuring a well-organized, GAAP/SOX compliant general ledger
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes through reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, and reporting
Maintain comprehensive documentation to support internal controls and external audits
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency across accounting functions
Contribute to special projects and provide ad-hoc analyses to drive strategic decision-making
