Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in general accounting
  • Knowledge of the ERP accounting system
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent efforts and provide high-quality deliverables accurately and on time
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Practical understanding and application of internal control processes and procedures over financial accounting and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process within specified time frames
  • Perform analytical functions for general ledger month-end close, including analysis of financial statements
  • Utilize financial reporting software to create, maintain, and update reporting templates and data queries
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support financial statement assertions and internal control
  • Provide accurate general ledger account coding for utility-scale wind projects
  • Support corporate accounting teams with ad hoc requests, including fixed asset form preparation
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements
  • Assist with researching technical accounting and reporting matters
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within the organization on financial performance
  • Close coordination with the Asset Management team on understanding and explaining financial performance
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned
  • Support the annual audit process for standalone audits
  • Support parent and affiliate company audit requests from external auditors
  • Work with internal functional departments and external groups to ensure timely and accurate financial results
  • On an as-needed basis, support the Tax department for income tax preparation
  • Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency
