Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • No experience required
  • Basic computer skills desirable, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with all Team Members, including Tyson Management
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to cover other shifts when needed
  • Priority for candidates currently working at this facility

Responsibilities

  • Physical security of the facility, including walking or stationary posts
  • Inspection and control of persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility
  • Logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress
  • Writing reports
  • Performing preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents
  • Switchboard operations, two-way radio communication, and intercom equipment
  • Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility
  • Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc
  • Roving or walking through the plant to check physical facility security
  • Inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant
