Candidates should possess mechanical aptitude and interest, and preferred maritime/boating experience. They must demonstrate good customer service skills, a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

The Seasonal Deckhand is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the vessel through sweeping decks, washing windows, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning public restrooms and general areas. They will also assist with ship maintenance, including priming and painting, performing basic knot tying, and using chemicals for cleaning while adhering to safety protocols. Additionally, the Deckhand will handle lines during docking and undocking, assist with bridge watch and lookout duties, participate in safety training and drills, conduct hourly security patrols, and perform various boat operations tasks such as loading/offloading luggage and assisting with inflatable boats.
