Requirements

  • Masters with 0-4 years confirmed experience or a PhD in a life sciences field (submitted within the last one year) with a strong focus on protein biology, protein design, protein purification, antibody or protein conjugations, molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology or biochemistry
  • Strong theoretical and working knowledge in protein expression, protein purification and antibody purification
  • Experience in working with different expression systems, inclusion bodies and re-folding
  • Hands on experience in performing protein purification using affinity, ion-exchange and size exclusion chromatography
  • Experience in automated purification method development in AKTA, NGC and liquid handler
  • Characterization of proteins using SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC and validating them in immunoassays such as ELISA, western blot and IF
  • Experience or familiarity with protein engineering, rational design of mutants, and molecular biology
  • Experience with structural biology and protein modeling and visualization tools such as Pymol, Schrodinger, Discovery Studio or other such programs is desirable
  • Project or work experience in support of relevant skills such as publications, project reports or thesis work
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel and possess a strong statistical knowledge and familiarity with statistical software such as Prism
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter who is excellent at learning and applying new concepts for process or product improvements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to connect to peers and leadership
  • Excellent teammate with the ability to work with diverse colleagues

  • Meticulous experimental planning and execution to meet program goals
  • Timely record keeping of results into data sheets and laboratory note-books
  • Regular mining of literature and keeping oneself up to date with developments in field of antibody development
  • Compilation and presentation of data in written and oral formats
  • Active participation in team meetings
  • Attention to detail and adherence to schedules
