Scientist I, Protein Biology at Thermo Fisher Scientific

Applicants should have a Masters with 0-4 years confirmed experience or a PhD in a life sciences field (submitted within the last one year) with a strong focus on protein biology, antibody and protein conjugations, protein design, protein purification, molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology or biochemistry.

Strong theoretical and working knowledge of protein and antibody conjugation chemistries, hands-on experience in performing protein or antibody conjugations to dyes, labels, and reporter tags, and experience with protein purification technologies such as affinity or ion exchange chromatography, SEC, HPLC, and SDS-PAGE are required.

This is a full-time position with a standard Monday-Friday schedule, and some degree of PPE such as safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, and ear plugs is required.

The antibody team is involved in engineering and development of antibodies, with a deep focus on reagent quality and specificity, including design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing in immunoassay applications using pioneering tools.

A self-motivated self-starter who excels at learning and applying new concepts for improvements, with excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and relevant experience supported by publications, project reports, or thesis work.
