Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably with strong backend development experience utilizing languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or Erlang. They must have hands-on experience with basic cryptographic primitives like digital signatures, key exchange, and encryption, along with a foundational understanding of distributed systems and consensus algorithms. Furthermore, candidates should be interested in and have experience with Go or Rust, and experience with existing blockchain system internals is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

The Rust Engineer will be involved in the design, development, maintenance, and improvement of software for various ventures projects, including the development of scalable applications from frontend UI to backend infrastructure. Responsibilities include development activities such as proposing architectural decisions, participating in designs and design reviews, conducting code reviews, and implementing solutions. They will also identify and solve complex problems within the blockchain protocol, work closely with operations and infrastructure to build high-scale backend services, manage documentation of code and functionalities, and collaborate with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to improve the tech stack. Finally, the role entails management of documentation and working closely with stakeholders to achieve the company's goal of cryptocurrency in every wallet.
