Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred
10+ years of experience in risk management, internal audit, or external audit, with a strong focus on SOC 1 engagements
Deep understanding of control frameworks and audit methodologies
Proven ability to connect business strategy with risk and control implications
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization and managing cross-functional initiatives
Familiarity with automation and data analytics in audit processes
Ability to lead through change and influence cross-functional teams
Presentation and Writing Skills – ability to develop and deliver formal and informal presentations to a variety of audiences
Financial services or asset management background preferred

Responsibilities

Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of SOC 1 audits, including coordination with external auditors and internal stakeholders
Oversee the design and effectiveness of key controls across FFIO’s operations. Identify and remediate control gaps
Partner with business leaders to assess how FFIO’s growth initiatives impact SOC 1 control requirements and readiness
Build strong relationships with business units, technology teams, compliance, and external auditors to support audit execution and issue resolution
Enhance audit readiness, control documentation, and evidence gathering processes. Promote a culture of control ownership and risk awareness
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on audit status, risks, and mitigation plans. Support governance and regulatory reporting as needed
Oversee the end-to-end execution of three SOC 1 audit reports
Oversee change management routines that ensure the reports align with FFIO’s growth initiatives and needs of the report users
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners and external auditors
