Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fine-dining restaurant setting and an understanding of luxury hospitality standards
  • Familiarity with guest service standards, such as Forbes or Michelin (a plus)
  • Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to work full-time (30-35 hours per week)
  • Weekend availability and ability to work late nights (Thursday - Sunday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or closing)

Responsibilities

  • Provides an excellent customer experience to uphold Forbes 5-star services/standards and follows all company and safety procedures and policies
  • Greets and seats guests with warmth and professionalism, relaying key guest information to Captains
  • Assists with mignardise and coffee service, guides guests out with takeaway gifts, and maintains the pristine condition of the concierge, showroom, and lobby while supporting team flow between seatings
  • Sets up and breaks down Host station: stations, iPad, welcome beverages, coat check, take-away bags
  • Prepares all guest-facing spaces to meet cleanliness and ambiance standards, executing detailed service setup—including floral bouquets, lighting, linens, and guest amenities—organizing takeaway items and seasonal displays
  • Memorizes the food and wine menu and has full knowledge of the guest's preferred dining experience for the evening (dislikes, allergies, dietary restrictions, special occasions, etc.)
  • Offers and serves the mignardise and petit/fours and supports the servers by running any other food or water to the tables
  • Assists with the dining room with set up, break down, clearing food, wiping down furniture, polishing glassware, organizing service tools (fans/heaters) and other cleaning duties as needed
  • Supports mis en place, preparation of service areas (BOH/FOH areas), and reset and flip of tables post-departure with attention to detail and speed
  • Participates and ensures compliance with all opening and closing duties as determined and published by the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef
  • Responsible for closing and opening side work including but not limited to polishing glasses, flatware, napkin folds, etc
  • Keeps up to date on new JUSTIN releases as well as viticulture and winemaking techniques
  • Prepares give-away bags for guests and escorts to the exit at the conclusion of their dinner
