Requirements

Candidates should possess experience in managing and working with large datasets and SQL-like databases, along with strong programming skills including fluency in Python and knowledge of C++ or Java. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to solve technical problems under pressure are also required, as well as great communication skills and the ability to collaborate with peers. Intellectual curiosity and self-motivation are essential, alongside the ability to communicate within and across teams, at a high and low level, on both technical and non-technical subjects. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment and tools is desired.

Responsibilities

As a Research Technology Developer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the research platform, specifically focusing on the OpenText Vertica database used by internal users and quants/traders for monitoring and strategy development. You will develop and support tools for transforming and loading data, troubleshoot and performance tune databases, create tools for managing market data, and support the entire simulation lifecycle. Additionally, you will proactively engage with quants and traders to identify and execute requirements, improve development practices, and keep up to date with new language features and frameworks.
