Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in deep learning research and development, specifically in generative AI and image/video synthesis, including diffusion and autoregressive models. Strong Python and deep learning framework skills (Jax, TensorFlow, PyTorch) are essential, with a preference for experience in large-scale multimodal generative model training, a strong publication record in top AI conferences, and experience in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
The Research Engineer will design, implement, and evaluate cutting-edge deep learning algorithms and data curation for multimodal generative AI, focusing on culturally-adapted image and video synthesis. Responsibilities include collaborating with research scientists, engineers, and product teams, proactively identifying and addressing technical challenges, staying updated on AI advancements, and developing innovations for real-world impact. The role also involves working with Ethics and Governance teams to ensure ethical development and broad societal benefit of AI advancements.
