Requirements
- Significant post-qualification experience in corporate tax or incentives within professional services or advisory
- Recognised tax or accounting qualification (e.g. AITI/CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Strong expertise in Irish corporate tax; experience with R&D tax credits, innovation incentives, or grants is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to lead client engagements, manage stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outcomes to tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and apply it pragmatically
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and engaging senior finance and technical stakeholders
- Experience managing and developing teams and fostering high performance
- Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to business development and market engagement
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of R&D tax credit and innovation incentive claims, ensuring robust, compliant financial documentation
- Lead discussions with senior client stakeholders to identify qualifying costs and align narratives with legislative requirements
- Work closely with colleagues in corporate tax, transfer pricing, finance, and costing to deliver integrated client solutions
- Coach and develop a team of tax and technology professionals
- Support business development through proposals, tenders, client workshops, and thought leadership
- Lead engagements, stakeholder interviews, and identification of qualifying R&D activities
- Prepare and review submissions to Irish Revenue and funding bodies, ensuring quality and compliance
- Provide coaching, feedback, and manage team resources
- Respond to tenders, prepare proposals, deliver workshops, and represent Deloitte at industry events
