Requirements

Journalism major, at least junior level with an interest in real estate or business preferred
Experience writing daily news stories on a deadline (for a student publication or other news organization)
Familiar with AP Style
Interest in core topics such as business and economics, interior design, and lifestyle trends
Ability to sift through and understand straightforward market data (e.g., home price inflation and sales data)
Bonus: Proficient in reading and manipulating data in Excel spreadsheets
Include resume, cover letter, and writing samples (ideally published clips) in application

Responsibilities

Report and write 2-5 stories per week for the website
Help with production by building stories in the CMS
Carry out story research and fact checking
Work most days from the New York office
Additional tasks may include work on social channels and collaborating with staff reporters on reporting
