Requirements

  • Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • P.Eng considered an asset
  • Experience with condition-based monitoring (CBM) and predictive maintenance (PdM)
  • Intermediate to advanced user within CMMS system (Oracle eAM 12.2 preferred, SAP, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret P&ID drawings (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven teamwork, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail in the administration of projects

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor and continuously improve an Asset Management Plan that includes a Risk Management Plan to identify and control risks, an Asset Operating Plan that standardizes processes and procedures for proper operation and an Asset Maintenance Plan to optimize predictive and preventive maintenance programs for all assets
  • Accountable for the deployment, development, enhancement, support and maintenance of all Oracle eAM 12.2 Master Data which resides within the Oracle Database
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include availability, performance, capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) on unscheduled delays exceeding threshold criteria, track associated action items, complete effectiveness evaluation and drive resolution
  • Evaluate and implement condition-based monitoring (CBM) technologies and predictive maintenance (PdM) where applicable (acoustic emissions, alignment, dynamic balancing, infrared thermography, motor circuit analysis, oil analysis, ultrasonic, vibration analysis)
  • Support the capital project process (CAPEX) and work with Maintenance, Operations, Quality and Projects to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations
  • Contribute to planning of production capacity based on analysis of preventive maintenance requirements, repair histories and inspection reports
  • Identify potential for cost reduction through extended parts life, reduced labor cost, and other material-related improvement techniques
