Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant credentials
Active RN license in the state of practice (for RNs) - Upon Hire
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Responsibilities

Perform general nursing care to patients
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic
Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing
Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider
Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences to patients in emergency situations; maintain timely patient flow
Greet patients and prepare them for physical examination; screen for health history, take vitals, conduct nursing assessment, and document in patient chart
Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests
Respond to patient phone calls timely with physician input
Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and health/wellness maintenance
Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints
Maintain exam rooms with supplies and materials; ensure cleanliness; prepare list of needed medical supplies
Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens per lab protocol; perform quality control and maintain records on lab testing
