Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Active LPN license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice (Upon Hire Required)
  • Passion for working with adolescents on addiction recovery and children/adolescents with conditions such as addiction, anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression, or suicidal behavior

Responsibilities

  • Delivers nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives
  • Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plans and pertinent information to the healthcare team, coordinating with other providers, and offering support to patients, families, and friends; conferring with physicians
  • Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical condition, psychological status, and social factors; conferring with family and friends; establishing diagnoses, objectives, interventions, schedules, and timetables
  • Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients, families, and friends on conditions, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions; providing information and resources
  • Evaluates patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against standards, reviewing records, noting changing conditions and needs, re-evaluating objectives, and modifying care plans
