Requirements

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Experience providing behavioral support to students with autism and complex behavioral needs
  • Ability to work on-site at Fort Liberty base schools following a year-round school schedule
  • Compliance with DoDEA, Department of Defense, school policies, base security, and clearance requirements
  • Adherence to BACB ethical standards and KBH values
  • Professionalism, discretion, and maintenance of confidentiality with school staff, families, and military personnel

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one behavioral support to assigned students (typically two: one in the morning, one in the afternoon)
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and instructional programs designed and overseen by BCBAs
  • Support students with complex behavioral needs using function-based interventions, reinforcement systems, de-escalation, and crisis-prevention strategies
  • Ensure treatment integrity and follow BCBA feedback to maintain fidelity of implementation
  • Collect behavioral data (frequency, duration, ABC, IOA) to monitor student progress
  • Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in documentation per DoDEA and KBH standards
  • Support completion of data summaries, progress reports, and participate in behavioral crisis debriefs
  • Attend monthly BCBA supervision meetings and team meetings with DoDEA school staff
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary teams for consistency across settings
  • Communicate regularly with assigned BCBA regarding student progress, concerns, and adjustments
  • Uphold safety, dignity, and professional boundaries, including when rotating across school sites
