Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
  • Postgraduate degree or certifications in International Trade preferred
  • +10 years of experience in international trade, imports/exports, or logistics
  • High proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Strong Excel and reporting tool skills
  • Location: Based in Bogota or Panama
  • Deep knowledge of customs processes, international trade regulations, tariffs, and agreements
  • Experience with multimodal transportation (air, sea, land)
  • Proven ability to manage compliance across multiple countries
  • Leadership and team management across multicultural environments

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate import and inland transportation processes in LATAM, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery
  • Guarantee adherence to customs regulations and documentation requirements for each country, preventing delays and penalties
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal clients and external logistics/customs providers, negotiating favorable agreements and acting as escalation point
  • Manage supplier performance using KPIs, control costs against budget, and lead a geographically distributed team to achieve organizational goals
  • Identify and implement process standardization and improvement initiatives, leveraging technology for visibility, control, and decision-making
  • Establish and lead internal and supplier audits, ensuring compliance with HALEON standards, GxP, safety, quality, and financial policies
