Requirements

Properly registered and certified Occupational Safety Technician with at least five years of experience in an HSS role across multiple international locations
Registered with the federal government’s SIRPWEB system that meets the requirements of Regulatory Standard Four (NR-4) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment
Strong working knowledge of HSS laws and regulations across the Americas
Comfortable with regular domestic and international travel, sometimes on short notice
Hands-on experience in crisis and emergency management, with the ability to provide calm, effective support in high-pressure situations
Proactive, self-starting problem-solver who takes initiative
Fluent in English and Portuguese
Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills

Responsibilities

Serve as the HSS authority and go-to expert for Health, Safety, and Security in Americas offices (e.g., Austin, New York, São Paulo)
Develop and implement HSS programs that meet and exceed local regulations, integrating safety into company culture
Proactively build and manage programs to reduce risks, prevent incidents, and promote a healthy workplace, including conducting risk assessments and supporting office expansions
Act as a core member of the Workplace Incident Management Team, responding to crises and emergencies with specialized support
Collaborate with managers and teams across the region, providing training and technical expertise
Maintain on-site fire marshal and first-aid programs
Partner with the global Head of Workplace Risk and Compliance and Americas Workplace Lead to shape and implement HSS policies worldwide
Track HSS performance and contribute to sustainability and ESG initiatives
