Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (preferred); college or technical school a plus
  • Experience within industrial maintenance field or technical related background
  • Ammonia and refrigeration experience or education preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of continuous work experience in maintenance with a single employer within the last 12 months, or currently attending/graduated from an industrial maintenance training program in the last 3 years
  • Available to work C shift (overnight)
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 70 pounds), reaching; climbing stairs and ladders
  • Successful completion of a respiratory physical
  • Able to work in cold, damp, hot, and humid environments
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson: 180 days rehire waiting period and 3 times limit (effective 01-02-2025)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general mechanical maintenance to all refrigeration, boiler systems, air compressor, flotation/main lift stations, and hot water systems in the facility
  • Perform all maintenance activities on the plant site, including but not limited to Preventive Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair all required systems
  • Work in any area of the plant, including Processing or Slaughter
