High School Graduate or equivalent (preferred); college or technical school a plus
Experience within industrial maintenance field or technical related background
Ammonia and refrigeration experience or education preferred
Minimum of 6 months of continuous work experience in maintenance with a single employer within the last 12 months, or currently attending/graduated from an industrial maintenance training program in the last 3 years
Available to work C shift (overnight)
Willing and able to perform physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 70 pounds), reaching; climbing stairs and ladders
Successful completion of a respiratory physical
Able to work in cold, damp, hot, and humid environments
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson: 180 days rehire waiting period and 3 times limit (effective 01-02-2025)

Responsibilities

Maintain general mechanical maintenance to all refrigeration, boiler systems, air compressor, flotation/main lift stations, and hot water systems in the facility
Perform all maintenance activities on the plant site, including but not limited to Preventive Maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair all required systems
Work in any area of the plant, including Processing or Slaughter
