Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous exposure with pertinent issues of electrical and instrument codes and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment
  • Military experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Interface with a wide variety of personnel on instrumentation and power distribution issues
  • Provide technical assistance as a team member in maintenance functions and support projects
  • Lead the execution of projects to improve plant electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Conduct investigations and root cause failure analysis of plant systems
  • Develop and utilize project management skills including scope alignment, cost and schedule development, and teamwork through multiple engineering phases (E&I Project Engineers)
  • Troubleshoot Electrical & Instrumentation issues, analyze equipment failures, develop solutions for recurring difficulties, submit Project Request Forms (PRFs), and understand equipment maintenance strategies (Reliability E&I Engineers)
  • Use electrical analysis software to solve coordination issues and run Arc Flash studies for the power system; learn and understand Refinery Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) (Reliability E&I Engineers)
  • Work on projects in support of process control systems for real-time control and data acquisition in refinery processes and electrical equipment (Process Control / Technical Service Engineers)
