  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Reference Functions)
  • Able to identify and accurately process transactions from customers/third parties on loan management systems
  • Recent and proven experience of understanding savings/loan transactions and financial reconciliation against each savings/loan record and respective internal bank accounts
  • Proven organisational and planning skills with an ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
  • Great interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people
  • Personable manner, passion and adaptability
  • Demonstrable attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile Loan Management System payment data with multiple bank accounts daily, including processing payments such as BACS, Cheques, Direct Debits, Card Payments and ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions
  • Identify discrepancies between data sets, the respective root causes and communicate with internal/external stakeholders necessary action to resolve
  • Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to appropriate resolution
  • Check emails daily and respond in a timely manner where necessary
  • Supporting month end processes and reporting
  • Adhere to Tandem’s internal policies and procedures
  • Proactively challenge existing processes and take ownership for implementing positive changes which are within own span of control
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of the Operational team and Tandem’s objectives
  • Keep up to date with all Company/regulatory changes particularly those which affect own business area
  • Contribute to mapping and maintaining End-to-end processes, including creating training guides for all tasks associated within the department
